PeopleSoft Project Manager

The PeopleSoft Project Manager will manage a project team across the functional and technical activities of the application development lifecycle for the implementation or upgrade of PeopleSoft HCM and FMS. Deep insight into HCM and FMS PeopleSoft Enterprise solutions (versions 8.x and 9.x) is required as well as deep knowledge of Project Management for PeopleSoft Solutions. The ability to communicate knowledge effectively with other Metaformers team members, client executives and team members, and partners is required. The successful candidate will also have an in-depth understanding of industry best practices for Government and/or Education and strong trouble shooting skills. Candidates must have held a leadership role on a minimum of 5 successful implementations/upgrades. In addition, the successful candidate will have an in-depth understanding of Life Cycle Management and a proven ability to lead a team and deliver success under difficult circumstances. The successful candidate will also have a proven ability to provide innovative solutions to complex customer issues and make a difference on mission critical initiatives on client engagements.

PeopleSoft Senior Consultant, Financials

Metaformers is seeking Senior PeopleSoft Financial Consultants with expertise in one or more of the following areas: GL/Commitment Control, AP, AR/Billing, Procure-to-Pay, or Cash Management. As a highly seasoned consultant you will be responsible for the development of the overall vision that underlies the Financials project and have the ability to transform that vision through execution into the solution. In this role you will work very closely with key business stakeholders, business analysts, project and program managers, delivery managers, technical leads, quality assurance leads, and system engineers throughout the life of a project.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Design and recommend project solutions for clients that leverage industry best practices; ensuring that these solutions meet strategic and tactical objectives for the organization
  • Provide strong subject matter expertise to identify and translate business and system requirements into design artifacts and related documentation (e.g. test scripts, training aides, etc)
  • Consistently demonstrate personal leadership and knowledge leadership to successfully deliver the desired end result of tasks or initiatives
  • Interface and coordinate tasks with Metaformers, client and external resources, collaborate with project and delivery managers to provide estimates, and contribute to the overall implementation solution plan for area of expertise
  • Identify the most challenging components and greatest risks of a proposed solution, and draw up appropriate plans to mitigate or strengthen the viability of an approach
  • Consistently demonstrate teamwork with other members of the Metaformers team
  • Manage assigned scope, client expectations, and client issues for all assignments.
  • Provide direction and leadership for a small team of consultants.
  • Consistently demonstrate professionalism in every aspect of work
  • Provide education and knowledge transfer for clients.
  • Collaborate with the Metaformers’ management team to contribute to the further development and strategy of the Metaformers’ organization.
  • Seek ways to improve the process of delivering solutions to customers.
  • Consistently share knowledge and experience within Metaformers and mentor other consultants to expand their skills and acclimate them to Metaformers.
  • As required, work with business development team to assist with proposals, presentations, and support any other sales activities.
Job Requirements:
  • Proven knowledge-leadership that has had critical impact on the success of at least 3 client implementations/upgrades.
  • Comprehensive understanding of industry best practices, Public Sector experience a plus.
  • A minimum of 10 years PeopleSoft Financials experience, but will consider exceptional candidates will less experience
  • Demonstrated expert with broad experience across the Financials suite and has an in-depth knowledge of GL/Commitment Control, AP, AR/Billing, Procure-to-Pay, or Cash Management; with working knowledge of the integration within the suite, as well as integration with other suites.
  • In-depth PeopleSoft trouble shooting skills
  • Thorough understanding of Project Life Cycle Management
  • An ability to lead and deliver success under difficult circumstances
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to communicate at all levels of customer organizations, up to and including executives. As well as, the ability to communicate knowledge effectively with other Metaformers team members and the management team
  • Ability to provide sales support, when needed.
