Edward Bouryng, PresidentEd founded Metaformers in 2000 with a vision to establish a different kind of consulting firm, focused on leadership and innovation, where each member has the ability to impact strategy, and with the highest professional standards for success. The President's role includes the ultimate responsibility for upholding the team's core values and Ed is strongly committed to this ongoing task. Ed has twenty years of government and higher education systems and management consulting experience and continues to serve clients in a strategy role. Ed is considered a knowledge leader with the PeopleSoft Financials suite for government systems and is often engaged to provide strategic guidance, re-establishing government business process in line with best practice and establishing a strategic path to right-track enterprise solution investments. Ed has worked closely with PeopleSoft and Oracle since 2001 due to his deep knowledge of best practice use of the delivered PeopleSoft solution for government and abilities to work with government executives. Prior to starting Metaformers Ed was a senior manager with KPMG and chief architect for a financials product line serving the federal government.
Ed holds a BS degree in Accounting from The Pennsylvania State University, is a CPA, and a CGFM.
Andrew Beck, Vice President, Global OperationsAndrew Beck has over 17 years of experience in delivering Enterprise Systems solutions to clients around the world. Andrew joined Metaformers in April 2003 following almost 5 years with PeopleSoft, Inc as an Account Manager and a Senior Project Manager. His in-depth experiences in strategy, infrastructure technology, applications, and organization performance optimization have led to successful client engagements encompassing over 30 countries. As Vice President of Global Operations, Andrew maintains responsibility for the performance of US and International operations, including leading Metaformers into new country markets. Andrew is also a strong advocate of the Metaformers core values, focusing on their application in customer, internal and partner relationships.
Andrew attended the University of Plymouth in the UK and holds a BS in Computer Information Systems.
Sheryl Pearson, Vice President, SolutionsSheryl Pearson brings more than 20 years of business management, global customer relations and implementation experience to Metaformers. Sheryl has over 16 years of PeopleSoft implementation experience, including her time as Director of Services at PeopleSoft. During her five-year career at PeopleSoft she built a highly skilled team that provided consultancy services supporting clients’ business objectives and strategic planning goals. She developed and fostered client relationships within the government, higher education, commercial, and utilities sectors around the world.
Prior to Metaformers, Sheryl held senior level management positions with CIBER, Unisys, Exodus and Global Technologies. In each of these organization Sheryl developed a consultancy organization based on PeopleSoft strategic planning and implementation services. The practices covered a range of PeopleSoft applications including HCM, Financials, CRM, and Campus Solutions.
Sheryl holds a BA from the University of Wisconsin and an MBA from Depaul University.
Michelle Oltmans, Vice President, Business DevelopmentMichelle Oltmans has more than 15 years of experience in the analysis, design, development, implementation, and sales of enterprise financial, human resources, supply chain, and analytic applications. Michelle has over 13 years of PeopleSoft experience, including working directly for PeopleSoft and Oracle in both consulting and sales consulting roles. In this time, Michelle developed deep and broad knowledge of PeopleSoft and is considered an expert in PeopleSoft Financials, Supply Chain, and Enterprise Services Automation.
During her eleven-year career at PeopleSoft and Oracle, Michelle served as a manager and team lead for a sales consulting team renowned for consistent and excellent execution in the Federal governement, State & Local government, and Higher Education sectors. In this role, she developed partner and client relationships throughout the PeopleSoft application community. As a Solution Architect, Michelle’s experience includes project management related to the implementation of financial/human resources applications, business requirements development, business process reengineering, alignment with PeopleSoft best practics and and custom application development.
In addition to PeopleSoft and Oracle, Michelle has also worked for American Management Systems in a consulting role.
When not working, Michelle enjoys spending time with her family, which includes her husband, two children and four furry children.
Michelle holds a BA degree in Economics and Marketing from the Duke University.
Paul Stewart, Chief Financial OfficerPaul Stewart has more than 25 years experience as an enterprise system architect assisting clients with software application strategy and the implementation of ERP solutions that provide significant return on the client’s investment. Paul’s market focus is primarily on public sector including federal, state, local, K-12 and higher education clients. His experience includes IT strategy, application architecture and large program management; design, development, and implementation of custom ERP solutions; the integration and implementation of COTS ERP solutions; post production maintenance and support of ERP systems, as well as business process re-engineering activities.
As a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Government Financial Manager Paul possesses a detailed understanding of government financial and business management and has actively developed and or implemented software to meet the needs of various government entities including financial, payroll, customer resource planning, and supply chain solutions. Some of his areas of expertise include: Budget Formulation, Budget Execution and Funds Control, Payment Management, Receipts Management, Cost Accrual, Cost Allocation, Full Costing, Cash Management, Time and Expense Capture, Labor Distribution, Travel Management, Procurement and Contracting, Grants Management, Asset Management, Supply Chain Management, Customer Resource Planning, Executive Information Systems, Financial Reporting and Activity Based Costing.
Prior to joining Metaformers Paul was a Managing Director/Partner with BearingPoint/KPMG where he spent 20 years developing BearingPoint/KPMG’s public services ERP practice supporting custom Oracle and SAP solutions.
Paul holds an MBA from the University of Texas.
Michael Barnard, General Manager - UKMike Barnard has over 18 years IT delivery experience covering bespoke application development, packaged application implementation, application support, and hosting services. Having worked in a number of international markets in technical development, implementation consulting, practice management, project management, and business development, Mike brings to Metaformers a broad base of knowledge founded on practical, hands-on experience.
For the past seven years Mike has led IT consulting teams in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia/Pacific. Mike is a passionate, can-do, self-starter with a strong focus on team dynamics, effective partnering, and results-based customer success. During his nine years working for PeopleSoft Europe, including four years as Global Services Director, Mike developed extensive knowledge of the PeopleSoft application suite, the PeopleSoft customer community, and the PeopleSoft Partner community. In addition to PeopleSoft, Mike has also worked for Cap Gemini and Misys Banking Systems in a variety of professional services roles.
When not working, Mike enjoys the company of his young family and various outdoor pursuits such as mountain biking, sailing, hiking, horse riding.
Mike holds a BSC degree in Management Sciences from the University of Manchester.
